Adult Literacy
We recognize that illiteracy hinders the economic and social development of individuals, leaving them isolated, especially in this fast-growing world. In response, Meeting Point International has organized an adult literacy program for its clients, particularly MPI women in Naguru and Kireka slums, to teach basic literacy skills—reading, writing, English speaking, and simple arithmetic—enabling them to count, add, subtract, and divide. The program runs for 4 days each week at MPI cultural centers in Naguru and Kireka slums, with 85 women currently enrolled.
